Here are 9 simple signs that clearly show that our kitties just love and adore us!
Us cat people love our kitties but at one point or another we may wonder if our cats really do love us in return like we do them! Cats actually express love for their owners in a number of ways. While some of these may be a bit obvious, other tokens of their love and affection have some hidden meaning behind them and you may have overlooked them not even realizing. Here are 9 simple signs that our kitties loves us like we do them!
#1 Following and lingering around wherever you are!
Cats often linger around their human owners when they are fond of them. If your furry feline is rubbing around your legs, or even accidentally tripping you as you walk, know that they are only doing this because they want to be close to you as they possible can. Even though your cat may pretend to be aloof when you are around, he is really just bluffing if he always seems to be nearby.
#2 Love bites
When your cat nibbles on you in a playful manner , this is one of their ways of showing their affections towards you. It is actually much different than a bite that could cause bodily harm, and tickles more than anything.
#3 Twitching the tips of their tail
A cat’s tail is like a mood sensor, with each movement showing their feelings. If your kitty holds their tail up casually, flipping the tip when they are around you, they think you’re the “cat’s meow”.
#4 Your kitty brings you their “presents”
Not for the faint of heart, when your kitty brings you their kill it is actually a present for you. Kitties are just natural hunters, so when they bring you these little gifts they are trying to show you what they can “offer” you. Just think of it as a love token.
#5 Kneading (and needing) their human
Does your kitty kneads you like pizza dough? If so, this is really their way of showing you the love they developed as babies when nursing from their mommies.
#6 Your cat will flash you their tummy
Like most animals, kitties do not show their stomachs to just anyone. If your furry friend rolls over on its back to give you a flash of that cute fuzzy belly, this is one of the signs that they feel really comfortable around you. And not only this, but they feel loved and also protected by you, rendering themselves defenseless while on their backs.
#7 Eye contact with a kitty kiss—if you’re lucky
Cats only tend to make eye contact with those they know very well and have developed deep trust for. If you catch your kitty giving you the eye, don not get worried. When your kitty locks eyes with you, and casts a slow blink once your eyes meet, this is just their special version of a kiss. Be a sweetie and just give them a slow blink in return.
#8 Your kitty has a thing for head butting you
Although you would actually never think of this as a friendly gesture with a human, to receive a head butt (head bunt) from a kitty is a pretty big deal. When your kitty shares this special privilege with you, they are actually depositing facial pheromones on to you and claim you as theirs.
#9 The magical power of the purr
Everyone knows that a kitty purrs when he/she is happy. If kitty happens to purr loudly every time you pay them some attention, this is a very good sign they have special feelings for you.
