Police dog Bruno faced a life threatening situation when he got shot in the face while chasing down a suspect. Watch his reaction when he reunites with his cop owner, it is really priceless! Scroll down for the video!
The police dog selflessly through himself in the line of fire, and while the suspect was killed in the gunfire, Bruno was the hero that saved the lives of the other officers there. His partner RJ Young was understandably distraught over how the whole situation played out but is very happy that Bruno is alright and healthy.
“Bruno got shot point blank, it was really a horrific thing to have to watch,” he told the ABC News. “My entire world came tumbling down in just the matter of a second”.
The German Shepard police dog Bruno immediately went to the hospital. The bullet luckily missed his heart, and he underwent two serious surgeries before he could go off his breathing tube. A week later, the two friends meet once again!

While Bruno is healthy now and safe, but he is not working anymore. Officer Young and his family adopted him. Officer Young says: “Bruno is like a son to me. Bruno will be with me for the rest of my life for sure”. Officer Young’s new partner is a two year old police dog Yukon. His family and also friends just keep expanding!
The bond that partners share is really something special, even when one is an animal it does not matter. Officer Young and Bruno will always share that special friendship, and we are so glad that the two of them will share their lives together forever! They deserve to be together and to take care of each other!
