Puppy stuck in a well deep 200 feet finally was rescued after 10 long days of waiting and hoping! Scroll down for the video!
After more than a week trapped deep inside of a narrow borehole well, the puppy was finally safe, ending his unimaginable ordeal which gripped the entire Turkish nation. The puppy stuck in the narrow well is safe now and he is healthy too. It is still unclear how the young puppy ended up in the well in the town of Beykoz, Turkey. The residents of Beykoz heard his cries and called for help.
Just one look at the narrow well made clear that he could never escape on his own. The earthen hole, while just under a foot in diameter, dipped more than over 200 feet below the ground. While helping the pup might have at times seemed quite impossible given the circumstances, the rescuers refused to give up.
Emergency crews, made up of local firefighters and animal rescue organizations, came to assess the situation. They put up a tent around the hole to prevent the rain from entering, and also lowered down camera equipment to check on the puppy’s condition.
Just look at his sweet face, the poor baby was so afraid and all alone!
Rescuers somehow managed to give the puppy food and water to stay alive. But getting him out of there would be way more challenging. For 10 long days, the crews struggled to devise a way to lift the puppy out, but without any luck.
The rescue effort soon got attention in Turkey via social media and national television too. Hope came when Energy Minister Berat Albayrak heard about the puppy and ordered a state owned mining company, Turkish Hard Coal Enterprises, to step in to help the rescuers. Using a long and mechanized lasso lowered into the hole, the team finally managed to collar the poor puppy and pull him up back to safety.

The dog was finally safe so the rescuers took him to the vet for a check up. Luckily, he is doing just fine now and is recovering nicely!
The lucky young puppy, who got the name Kuyu (Turkish for ‘well’), was checked up by veterinarians and is in good health, but his story gets even better yet. The puppy got really, really lucky.
The firefighters from Beykoz actually adopted Kuyu and now he lives at their station, ensuring that Kuyu is really rescued for a lifetime, too. Thanks to the effort of everyone there, puppy stuck in the well is safe and has a new life. What a beautiful story!
