Starving puppy recovers completely

Starving puppy that was left to die gets another chance! It doesn’t make sense why some people do such mean things and even makes less sense when they do them to innocent animals. Animals just want love and don’t understand when some people act so cruel to them.

That’s what makes this story so heartbreaking. A puppy was fighting for her life because another human deemed it unimportant.Thankfully there wаs someone who saw her worth and made it their mission to do everything they could tо show her the good this world has tо offer.

Starving 10-month-old puppy was dying and moments away from organ failure.

She was not even able to walk or stand up on her feet.

Eduardo, who found her, brought her to a animal rescue center in Granada, Spain. The doctors there named her Barilla, a type of spaghetti, because you could count all of her ribs. She was so skinny.

The vets said that the chances are very slim for the starving puppy, but they are going to try they`re best to save her life.

“She was starving so long of food and water that when we took her in all she could move was her head and her tail.”

“I have been rescuing dogs since I was a child and I’m used to seeing them in a bad way but I have never seen an animal in such a terrible state as Barilla.” said the vet.

Barilla only weighed 16 lb. They had to put her on a drip for six hours before they could start feeding her.

She had a harness to support herself since she could not stand on her own.

She received food from a basket on the ground and after a week she gained 8.8 lb.

Still, she could not stand for long before crashing.

For the next seven weeks, Barilla was eating properly, was receiving love and care she deserved. And it started tо pay off.

Eventually, Eduardo adopted Barilla and she now lives with him, his wife, 14-year-old daughter, and five other dogs.

“Her will tо live was amazing and I felt а connection with her the moment I saw her. Her recovery has been staggering. From the third оr fourth day, she was eating five or six times а day and putting on 2 lb. a day in weight. She’s now up to 46 lb. and is on the road to a full recovery”.

Eduardo wants to find out who did this to Barilla and have them held responsible.”For me, this is an unique case and we want to get to the bottom of this.”

Barilla is now living the life she always deserved and is thriving.

Whatever her past, she now has a loving home who will continue to do everything they can to make her the happiest dog alive.
