All animals deserve a loving and caring forever home, but unfortunately not all of them have one. While we like to think that everyone cares about pets the same way we do, that is often not the case. The sad reality is that plenty animals live on the streets and fend for themselves, even though many of them do not the proper knowledge of how to do so on their own. Leo is a sweet stray cat from Ankara, Turkey. When he did not have a place to call home, he looked a refuge in an unusual location. Just wait until you see what he actually did to find one.

Leo the  sweet stray cat spent his entire life homeless and fending for himself, but his life changed completely when he met animal rescuer Burcu Emel, an animal rescuer in Ankara, Turkey!

“In the garden of our apartment, there is always food and water containers for cats. For that reason, the garden is a very  popular place for local cats,” Emel says.

At first, Leo was really scared of the place. “He was always looking at the open buffet in our garden from the neighboring building’s wire,” Emel continues. Over time though, he slowly began to open up and come into the cat sanctuary for some food. “When I came out from the door in the morning, he would greeted me with a big smile. He is really an extremely soft-tempered male. He never fought with the other cats, he also did not swat”.

Leo started jumping into Emel`s car at every opportunity! It became very clear that this young cat wanted a home and did not want to be out in the wild anymore. They found a woman named Yağmur who would love and take care of this friendly cat. They were really a true match made in heaven!

Leo no longer roams the streets alone and seems happy in his new home. He is safe, happy, full, and also healthy. He also looks cuter than ever before!
